A Memorandum from Licensed Building Practitioner: Certificate of Design Work form is used to outline what Restricted Building Work design work was carried out or supervised on a project, and who carried it out or supervised it.
In New Zealand any restricted building design work is to be carried out by an design LBP.
New Zealand Registered Architects and Chartered Professional Engineers are automatically treated as LBPs in the design class. This means they can design restricted building work.
